DQ Vodka Review

Hi all,

I am a fan of vodkas and find myself trying a lot. I recently purchased a bottle of DQ Vodka and am very impressed.

The bottle cost me $120 AUD and is a great looking bottle.

First impressions are great feel and quality, once the bottle is opened it has a unique "intelligent distilled" insert which filters as you pour, how good this is I don't know but certainly is a nice feature.

On the nose its VERY subtle and light smelling with typical vodka notes

Tasting- I couldn't wait and had a small glass at room temperature and was amazed at actually how smooth this vodka is, it did have a semi strong taste that was a bit in your face on first sip but there was lack of burn but instead a gentle warm feeling as you felt it slide down your throat and after a couple seconds you really felt a warm "after burn" that was in no way over powering.

This vodka will be in my regulars from now on.

Regards,

Mitch

Isn't this what Gus Fring used to poison the Cartel boss and his capos in the latest episode of Breaking Bad?

No, that was Tequila. A Don Julio 1942 Reserve IIRC.

Grey Goose is very over-hyped IMO. There are much better vodka's for way less $$$.

I prefer Ketel One myself, and if someone else is buying me a drink, I'll order Belvedere. Personally, I find grey goose to be a bit fruity and syrupy. A while back someone turned me on to Svedka as a great cheap vodka. It really is pretty good.

In summary, vodka preferences in order of how much I like them. Belvedere > Ketel One > Svedka.
