Lightbulb Wine Forum Ideas.....

After much consideration and really to make this the most elite board in the world, I thought it only fitting to start to share some great wine and bring in people to discuss them with us. So with this, I am announcing my intention of having several meet and drink teamspeed gatherings in NY where we drink some of the best wine. From quilceda Creek, to Lafite, from Burgundy to Spain and let's not forget champagne. And who knows, if things go great then I will start opening some DRC. It's your board, your time and lets see if we can get the wine section to start gaining some traction....

Best,
DJ

I like wine, a LOT I like this idea. I've been wanting to bring my GF to NYC for a while now, this would just be another good excuse to go!

I wish I was local to you guys. You should get some local restaurants to host some of these wine tastings. As a restaurant owner, they'd be stupid not to want to do it.

So did this ever happen?? The Fiance and I have been drinking alot of Red Wine lately, and I've taken it up as a kind of "hobby" learning as I go... Luckily Woodland Hills Wine is 2 miles from my office... But it would be cool to be introduced to some different stuff... I really have no clue what I'm looking for - usually try and find something in the 30-60 dollar range, I've enjoyed Cab's mostly.

I took down a bottle of Patz & Hall Pinot last night....

I've really gotten into Rockpile Zins as of late. There's a bottle of Carol Shelton rockpile Zin and a Seghesio rockpile zin calling my name in my cellar right now.....its Sunday....maybe I can make a nice steak for lunch to give me an excuse to open one of them around noon......
