Beer Snobs Unite (Beer 101)

Hi,
Have an American craft brew event coming up over here, haven't heard of many of the breweries - Stone of course is well known - wondering if someone couldn't take a look at the list and recommend a couple of days that would be exceptional?
Tapping Schedule | USA Craft Beer
I have to travel a long distance to make this event.
Cheers,
Nik

Definitely try the Green Flash Brewery Beers. I've had both their IPA and Stout and I'm a fan of each. However, I'm a big fan of IPA and had a few of these last week with some Indian food...great combo.
Fat Tire is a staple in the US craft brewing business as it put New Belgium on the map. However, for me it is too chocolate(y), and this is coming from someone who drinks a lot of porter.
Firestone Walker makes a pretty good Pale Ale, so I'm sure their IPA isn't too bad either.
Lagunitas makes some pretty good brews, though I've yet to try this one. More than likely, it will be good.
I've heard of Avery, but have yet to try their beers (that I can remember). Give their Brown Ale a try, a friend of mine who is in the industry told me that Brown Ale is the rising star in the American market.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the info. I will be sure to post up many a photo and tasting thoughts on the brews. Very excited to try some of the brews I've heard so much about, would you believe I've never even tried a Fat Tyre!?
Cheers,
Nik
