Finally, an update to this thread! Three weeks off starts next Wednesday and I'll be making some more posts here.

 

I need to get my hands on some of that dogfish head, sounds like a beer I would enjoy. Bought some Leffe yesterday, really love that beer.

I like that photo though, shows the awesome colour in the head. When I tried it, I was most impressed. Although I do think a lot of DFH is overdone on the hops - they can call people 'wussies' for as long as they want, but if it's not balanced... it's just not balanced. The PSM is very good though.

Finally got around to sampling a nearly finished ferment, Whisky Ale that I put to cask a few weeks back. Looking at around 8% right now and I'm still deciding whether or not to push it out a bit higher.

Also made a coconut milk stout, slipped on the milk and it's shining through a bit tougher than I wanted. I'm hoping by sending some to bottle it'll give it time to come together. Still, 7.7% and good stout character - I'm pretty bloody happy with it.

New liquor store opened 2 blocks away...great selection of liquor and beer. Picked up these guys on the way home from work today. Working on a Dead Guy as we speak.



Also, a local watering hole that used to have 5-6 average drafts just overhauled itself last week and now has about 50 very nice choice draft selections. Dabbled a bit during happy hour yesterday
