yeehaw! Dogfish (beer) is coming to CA
i've been waiting 2 years for this moment - excellent beer at reasonable prices. soon available in CA in limited quantities. from their newsletter:
Cali beer lovers... you've been asking... and we ARE listening. We're happy to let you know that we are coming back (in a very limited way) to California! Beginning this month, we are shipping limited amounts of three Dogfish Head beers to our wholesale/distributor partners in California. 90 Minute IPA, Palo Santo Marron, and Midas Touch are heading west. Click on the link below to find our new CA distributors and give them a shout out. If they don't have the beers yet (remember, we said LIMITED AMOUNTS), they will soon - so be nice to them!

Congrats! I can't imagine life without being able to readily purchase Dogfish head. Actually, just this past weekend I had some 60 minute. I also had some Maudite (Unibroue brewery) which I highly recommend.

Glad you're getting one of my faves. If you like this flavor, try North Coast Brewery's Pranqster Ale. It's moderately hoppy, sweetish- basically Belgian- in character and it goes great with hearty casual and bistro-style eats.
Now, out in Cali you have Lagunitas. Their Pale Ale is one of my faves with sashimi/sushi or Indian food.
I'd also recommend trying Morimoto's (he consults with Rogue brewery) new Imperial Pilsner- at 8.8% abv it's a ridiculously strong pilsner, really bright with malt and hops. I had it last week with fresh clams and mussels.
