I love wine fundraiser's, win win. I have a few '97 Grange's in my cellar but have never opened one. If you drink it soon let me know what you think.

Nice! I've heard the '97 needs to be decanted for quite a while. What was your experience?

we decanted all 3 for about 2-3 hours. they were perfectly kept in my friends cellar at 55 degrees. He blinded the tasting. It was unanimous that the 97 was the winner ( 3 tasters), then 94 ( lost some of it's fruit, then the 01). The 01 will be dynamite in a few years.
the 97 is in perfect stride right now ( for my palate at least)
the 94 has lost a little of it's legs for me, but is still great!!!!!

Thanks for the info. I think I'll have to open one of the Grange for my next dinner.
