Gran Centenario Anejo
#2
Gran Centenario is a very good tequila. It's actually a blend of several anejos. In that price category it is definitely one of the best. You may also consider the Cuervo Reserva de la Familia, which is also less than $100.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Just got a bottle of this for my birthday over the weekend.
Wow....by far the best anejo I have tasted so far in it's price range. It almost has a brandy like sweetness to it, but then the aftertaste soon reminds you that you are drinking tequila.....delicious.

RedlineRobert is the resident tequila expert. One thing I would suggest is that if you are willing to spend $100, go to Bevmo and shell out an extra $20 or so and pick up a bottle of Don Julio 1942 for $120. You may be able to find it cheaper if you shop around. That will change your perception about the way tequila tastes. I have many good anejos at home, including the Gran Centenario and 1942. The 1942 is far and away my favorite.
