The best I've drunk is the Chateau Mouton-Rothschild from 87'. I'm in no way near a sommelier, but I intend to start learning more about which grapes suits different occations. It's always interesting to listen to someone who knows their stuff.

@ Tuuner

leoville barton 2005 => it's a very good choice but really expansive around 250 € per bottle.

@ Jox

Medoc is a good choice and a nice region too for wine and see how they do it.

For all I will made a little list of all wine I can find it.

Blends are the norm for me and I've got simple tastes.
Joseph Phelps Insignia 2004 was the wine we drank the night I proposed to my wife With a few flowers
please tell me that is not your home cellar

What year Lafite did you have? I opened a bottle from 1973 on Thanksgiving that I was less than impressed with. A lady friend of mine, who sells wine, was drinking it with me and said that it was spot on.

The Lafite was a 1995 and the Latour a 2000. Both were very good.
