1987 930 Turbo Slantnose
Hi all, this is one of my close friends turbo, this has to be one of the fastest turbos tha I have been in for this gen. It's a 1987 Porche 930 Slantnose. It's a factory slantnose not a conversion. It has a 3.3 liter Boxer 6 cyl, 198 CID built by Bob Holcum of MODE Motorsports Design in Pheonix AZ. The engine has a Zytec fuel management system with twin 50 lb injectors and twin spark plugs per cylinder. No nitrous. One massive turbo with variable boost up to 24 lbs. At full boost with C-12 it develops 648 HP at the wheels. In Calgary running at a density altitude of 5200 feet the car had limited traction of 2.2 second 60 foot time and 11.72 ET at 131.89 MPH on street tires. Since the car didn't have a roll bar at the time that was the only quick pass he was able to make, he hopes to crank the boost up and with a set of slicks, clock a 10 second pass.
