Hey Bryan, do you know if that red 959 was ever in Boston? I saw a red 959 in a showroom in Boston back in 2006 I think. There can't be many of them in the US.

I remember that commercial too, that is fantastic!

That is a great car to have in the facility. Any idea how many are in the country?

Here's some pics of Ralph Lauren's 959 from when I lived in Boston:

Nice pics Chris - I love the Silver.

I think there are only a few handfuls or less of the 959S "sport" trim models like ours left in the world... and many more of the non S "komfort" models... Approx 300 or so cars had been built at the end of original production in 1988...

I posted some other info about it during the filming of the commercial in '09 here: https://teamspeed.com/forums/porsche...rformance.html

Can I get some information about the roll cage? To meet US standards? Also, I'll buy you and one more person at the shop In and out if I can ride around the block in that thing...

How do you tell the difference between a Sport and a Komfort model? One detail I have noticed is 2 different steering wheels used in the 959 models, is this one of the visual cues?

Here is another 959 that I have seen a few times in Michigan.

The rollcage is from the factory and came with the car...

If you are ever in Costa Mesa, let me know and you can check out the car if you want...

Many "Komfort" models had leather interior and no rollcage..... Our "Sport" model has cloth seats... driver side mirror only, harnesses and a factory rollcage... more info to come... have a good evening
