I've never seen a CTR in person. Would love to. I've heard that the sound of the BOV is not too different from the chirp of a Canary, hence the name Yellowbird? This is what my dad had told me many years ago and that's what actually got me hooked to Porsches. This, and the Carrera 2.8 RSR in 911 & Porsche World

BTW, I'd read somewhere that apart from these 28, RUF also made separate kits for existing 911 owners. How can one differentiate the kitted 911s from one of the actual 28 authentic CTRs?
