I really want to put this in my car....not. This would look pretty stupid in an older 911 IMO.

It'll look nice in the '70s and '80s era cars that have the DIN slot ('74 to '89), but it's too retro for 964/993 and nobody with an original dash in their early car is going to cut it up for this radio. I've got a guy out here that can restore the original Beckers from the early cars with modern internals and add an output for iPod. Looks bone stock, but works bitchin.

I have pulled my entire stereo/wiring, but depending on the performance of this system, I *might* buy one and put together something simple with 4 speakers and maybe an 8" sub behind the driver's seat.

Check out this guy's stereo setup in his early car. It is f'ing awesome.

Becker135 is an unknown quantity at this point
I stubbornly stayed original in my 993 cabuntil a month ago, I finally couldn't take the crappy sound anymore and went Alpine bluetooth. What a difference!! Save the oem and reinstall it if you ever sell the car, but enjoy driving with good sounds in the meantime!

That was amazing. Thank you for sharing that with us! Did a fantastic job on that restor!

Anyways, onto this thread.. I like the idea, looks stock, but the screen is too modern for that model type/year.. 70's Porsches are designed for when you get in it to drive it or even be a passenger, feel like you've been time warped back to the 70's.. long hair, maroon bell bottom trousers and long sleeve floral shirts. Not "electronica hero" era.
