New to forum, heres my car
hello! after spending a few months looking for the right car, i finally found this 1973 911 T. out of the many exotic cars that i have had the pleasure to drive, none compare to the joy i get out of this little car
she was repainted almost 30 years ago, original color. the interior is all original except the steering wheel. and the leather on the front seats does not match the rest of the blue in the interior.
sorry for the crappy photos, have not really had a chance to take any good ones.

it sat at the shop for awhile, the owner of the car had to sell it....and at the same time he had no where to put it. so the owner let him store it at the shop, from time to time it was driven a little.
the 50cent seal that was put between the motor and the tranny went bad. which caused oil to leak everywhere! the brand new clutch....not so new anymore....and a list of other things had to be changed. i wasn't to happy to hear it or see it.
i don't want to change anything from the stand point the car is now in amazing condition. but the teenager in me wants to create a race car. i think im going to build a 2.7, and put the stock motor in storage. its a tuff choice.
whats your opinion on a motor swap?

From what I can remember, it's a very clean, straight, mostly original car. For a "driver", it's definitely in the top 10% as far condition goes. I think it has a 4-speed, which is rare, but not desirable. I don't remember the interior looking that good, maybe the carpets were changed???
At any rate, if you want more power, the easiest thing to do is to find a good used 3.0 liter SC or 3.2 Carrera motor with 5-speed 915 gearbox with a 7:31 ring & pinion (can be found for 6 to 8 grand, maybe a little more) and swap that in.
Building a 2.7 right is easily going to run you 12 to 15 grand once you put the carbs on, more if you want to run MFI.
You could also tie up the loose ends, sell it, and pick up something newer like a solid 3.2 Carrera.
