964 flatnose

Gorgeous silver 964 flatnose available at Bingo Sports in Japan. I was just wondering, I thought that the Japan flatnose cars had the 930 front end, but this one doesn't. I guess the obvious answer is that it didn't start in Japan, but maybe I could be wrong on my idea of the japan 964 flatnoses.

So by looking at that site it looks like the 964 cars for japan (x83) had the 930 slantnose, I am guessing this one was imported then. Here are some more pics from the site:

These are beautiful cars, but I like the 930 slantnose better:

The 964's are the most appealing Turbo's and after that comes the 993, after looking at those makes the 996, 997 feel and look less raw....those rims with the rivets are drop dead gorgeous, I think porshce should look back and do it oldschool with the 998 like a 993 Turbo wing etc.

Wow, both variations are sexy as hell. I don't know if I've seen a 964 flatnose before now!

I know they are gorgeous! Probably one of the rarest 911s to be made, I have read only 39 examples went to the USA. They were very expensive as well, the most expensive 911 Turbo save for GT2 at around $ 160k (this is in '93, mind you). The silver car is sort of enigmatic for me. It has the USA/ROW front end (because the japan spec flatnose had the 930 front end), but it does; however, have the Japan spec spoiler (whereas the USA/ROW I don't believe had the "double" spoiler). Look at this stunning example (I think this is a TS member's former car), the wing doesn't have that extra spoiler on top of it:
