Porsche gathered 50 of the most iconic sports cars in history to shoot a commercial welcoming its newest member of the family, the Panamera. While the "Family Tree" commercial doesn't launch until October, this is the first glimpse behind the scenes of this once in a lifetime event. Excellent teaser. You can't beat pedigree - or a good agency. And I don't even like the Panamera...

I am not a big fan of the panamera, I like the idea of the car (a fast saloon), but not the looks. The commercial, on the otherhad, is awesome. The first one, with them building up the event and family feel, and when it went from the screen with : "One historic family reunion ----> to welcome our newest sibling," it definitely made me feel like they are making this car a part of the heritage of porsche, and not just some new way to get car sales; I like that.

 

The Panamera looks even uglier amongst its company in that video, but my oh my, what an incredible collection of cars! It was like the Monterey Historics all over again!
