Maybe 993 Turbo with front drive assembly removed is the ticket for a family P car.

I know that's what the 993 GT2 was, but what needs to be changed other than removing the transfer case and the front half shafts? GT2 carrier? GT2 suspension (to account for the reduced weight)?

True story.

I spent 6 months looking for a speed yellow 993 Turbo in 2003, nothing. Not a damn thing.

Got frustrated, went to Rusnak Porsche, saw the 996 Turbo in speed yellow calling my name, said F this, and bought it.

The next day, on my way to my client in Santa Monica, driving down Wilshire Blvd, a stunning 993 Turbo in, you guessed it, speed yellow, pulled up next to me.
