I have high hopes for this, could be a great car if they mix the right recipes correctly.

Rumors have been around for long time, then again denied by Porsche. Then rumours about adding a 4 cylinder into the 987 line-up surfaced. Porsche certainly has to do something to lower fleet emissions in Germany. This maybe one way, however competition in the 4cyl 2-seater segment is strong and I do not see how this would help Porsche or become a big seller. The argument Porsche made to deflate rumours was that it would not help the marques image and therefor sales if you could find a low end Porsche on every street corner.

Yeah...taking the bus, saving up some money and then buying a manly Porsche..
I used to think that the Boxster was a girly car... but then I saw what RUF did with them and it totally gained my respect.

If you buy a cheap Porsche for the badge, then save your money... but if you're buying it for the quality, balance, and engineering then go for it.

Everything below the headlights looks pants, IMO. Luckily AutoExpress aren't in charge of designing Porsche's.

This could be a very interesting car. Kinda see some design cues on the rendering from the new super Aston Martin. Dunno, if it'll look so good on this P-car. But I really hope that they make it very light ~1100-1200 and get a 4-pot with just about 300bhp. That'd be a serious light sports car

I'd love to see a super-lightweight droptop, 4-cyl Porsche. I'd probably consider owning one if it was below $30K.

Touche. I have the crazy dream of buying on to DD someday soon. It'd probably be a hell of a lot more fun than the E46 M3s I was considering.

Not feeling it at all.

The beck 550 is insane. Easily the most fun car I've ever owned.
