Anyone Own a 944?

Saw one today and was reminded of just how much I like the looks of this car.
it's by no means a pretty car and it definitely isnt cool looking, but for some reason i really love it.

A few years ago I was lucky enough to come across a mint 1986 944 Turbo with 170000kms on it. I can honestly say that it was the best car I have ever owned in terms of value for money, fun factor and it was amazingly very reliable too. Sold it to buy an e46 M3 at the time - the worst mistake I ever made. The guy I sold the 944 to still has it and refuses to sell it back to me!!

I have owned 3 of them, one for 8 years and many mods. Great cars, great memories. A buddy of mine still has the same 86 944 T that he had back in 95. I take it for a spin every once in a while. I would not mind owning another one in the future.

my first porsche will either be a 968 or a 964 (slightly OT but still somewhat related...)

A buddy of mine had one; awesome little thing. You aren't going to find a bundle of more fun for less money, anywhere.

Although having never actually driven one (thus my opinion is null and void immediately), I would have to ask if a C5 Vette would be able to hold up an argument to this?

20 years ago a 1988 944 was my first Porsche. Last week I saw a restored 944 and it made me want another. Fun car with great balance! Also had a 968 years ago; another great Porsche! Will always have a soft spot for these cars.
