Props to Chris Harris for exhibiting those ballet skills while wearing L.L. Bean Duck Boots - thick soles, steel shanks, and Thinsulate and Gore-Tex lining (at least on mine, not all pairs have this feature) mean that it's much harder to heel-and-toe, much less left foot brake, while wearing those clodhoppers.
