Mine is going to be silver, with original looking chrome wheels and red leather interior. Although I admire the look, no James Dean copy-ing for me....no "lil bastard" on the rear deck or red sripes on the rear fin.
That's exactly how I'd do mine too except I want the hump behind the driver's head. I'd actually be tempted to buy the kit and build one myself. Doesn't really seem any more difficult or expensive than a Caterham 7 kit or anything along those lines. I definitely want to build one of the other at some point in my life.

This one looks just about right, and is one of the cheapest ones I've seen for sale yet. $20K almost seems reasonable for a toy like this. Still, it'd be hard to justify that kind of cash for a Beck when you can get most of the same thrills from a Miata for 1/3 of the price.

Beck 550 on eBay

Any idea how much something like that would go for on the auction block?
+1, I'm curious as well.

You always seem to be contemplating new car purchases.

I wonder as well what the auction block price would be as well... a car with specific racing history definitely helps; and no doubt the condition is impeccable! Hopefully I'll meet the owner at some point this summer.

I think there's been a succession of Porsches (911s and Caymans), with an RS4 and a GTI thrown in, as well?

I may be missing some, but no doubt you're a baller!

No baller here... I am just fortunate to be able to indulge my car hobby. Sorry for the OT, but what the hell. When I was in the Marines, I had a crappy '93 T-Bird (it was good for gas and carrying stuff), so after my first "real" job, I bought an '01 S2000, then (deep breath): Evo, another S2000, S4, GTI, 997.1 C2S, RS4, FX45, A3, Cayman, and now 997.2. The S4 to now was since 2005!

I can honestly say I'd have gone further but my wife has put the kibosh on things. Her rule? I can have as many cars as we have garage space, hence my 10-car garage dream!!

The guy who had his on display at our dealership claimed his was worth $1,000,000+ and it was rebuilt... that seems high for me but I know nothing about that model honestly
