Just bought my 95 928 GTS 5-speed back!

Tuesday of this past week I reveived and email from Roger (the guy I sold my GTS to in Nov-2007) saying he needed garage space b/c he is getting a Lambo, 599 and California; the GTS was going to be a "casualty of war"...... I have the best wife in the entire world; when I told her about the email she said "we should buy it back" not b/c she necessarily wanted it back but simply b/c she knew I would. Is she awesome or what! Long story short, I called Roger and we worked out the deal, rented a SUV/trailer and drove up to McLean, VA on Saturday morning, picked it up Saturday afternoon, had dinner with my sister and brother in-law, got up early this morning and trailered it home. All in all, it was a great experience and a fun weekend. Roger and his wife Kyle made us feel welcome and like we'd known them for years.

I don't think I was as excited in 2000 when we bought it the first time......! When I first saw it yesterday afternoon in Roger's driveway it looked like the most beautiful GTS I'd ever seen. I'm pretty sure there is not a nicer example no matter the miles of a GTS anywhere in the world! Roger put less than 100 miles on it in the 15 months he had it!!!! It's literally in the same condition it was when it was loaded on the truck to VA with 12,500 miles.

Here are a couple pics from the journey today..... Yesterday, I had to switch out the 3.6 turbo rears b/c they were too wide for the trailer!!!!!

.....and yes I do plan to drive it more than I did the last time I had it. I have plans to do something special on the inside, stereo, headers, exhaust, red brakes and new wheels over the course of the next few years. Never say never but I don't plan to let it go again............

Great story. Hang on to that wife of yours! I know, I know, you didn't need me to tell you that.

Very cool! Sounds like your wife is every bit as much of a keeper as this 928 GTS is! Congrats on getting her back.

What differentiates the GTS from the regular 928?

Nice car. Why does it have different wheels front and rear?

The rears look like the stock cup wheels.
