Alonso just keeps getting better...from that big save in q2 that could've ended everything there, then going off track in q1 and damaging his front wing and now putting himself on pole. Just amazing, I've said it once and I'll say it again, he's the most talented driver now on the grid.

The 2012 F1 cars are not turbo'd, they are all NA V8s.
Turbo'd engines have been banned since 1988 buddy, but will be re-introduced in the form of V6 bi-turbos in 2014 in pursuit of fuel economy/being "green".
And the car output (hp/tq) varies from race to race to best suit the different circuits and conditions, with KERS it increases the output for brief moments, and it's good for 80 extra hp for about 6.7s.
