Everyone keeps saying Ferrari won't fare well in normal warm conditions on this circuit but I'm still rooting for Alonso to pull thru somehow with his sheer talent.

Mercedes has no chance IMO, coz the way their tires last they're almost certain going to have to do 3 pit-stops while the rest can most likely stretch it out for a few more laps and keep it to 2 while still being able to keep the car on the circuit...it'll be interesting to see their tire strategy.

Martin Whitmarsh's interview (if you're watching Sky Sports) made it seem like most of the frontrunners will opt for the 3-stop strategy and not risk driving around on bald tires. Of course, the Saubers probably have the biggest advantage when it comes to tire preservation...and they genuinely scare the bigger teams with their potential & speed. They may/should be able to do well on a 2-stop strategy if they opt for it.

I'd love to see Sergio Perez go for the win without his team instructing him to settle for a podium.

I'm sure the team would've said the same to banzai Kobayashi if he was in the same position. Both their drivers arent known for their consistency; Kobayashi is known for taking high risk overtaking maneuvers while Perez, well you saw what happened.

The team is clearly focused on keeping the cars on the circuit and gathering points, not really the winning the championship, so all out podium isn't as critical as consistent points.

I agree that Sauber would have given the same order regardless of driver, it's just sad to see a driver not allowed to race his heart out (just like Webber with RBR last year at Silverstone IIRC)... especially when he could have (and should have) won the race. He legitimately has a chance to do well in today's race though, so maybe he'll get a second chance. Otherwise, I'm pulling for Button as he's in my fantasy lineup.

Rosberg is such a pretty boy. A lot like Sutil.

No homo.

Alonso has no chance, but I have a great feeling this may be Kimi's race.
