The US should definitively consider this and just pay royalties if needed. The amount of money the US will save from going to Germany. Plus it will bring more attention to the US for motorsport racing.

Well the real Nordschleife has an elevation change of over 1000ft and goes up and down hundreds of feet all over the track so it is going to cost them bulk in earth works you would think...

I just don't see it happening sorry..

The cost of making a track of this magnitude in this day and age (the age of unions) makes it pretty prohibitive. How much is a mile of tarmac again? Nice idea, but i doubt it will ever happen.

hey don't get me wrong I hope they build a nice piece of road...

I don't think it was their intention of copying the ring corner for corner tho, but moreso the idea of a iconic piece of tarmac..

+1

An exact copy of the Ring would be literally impossible...
not only because of the topographic difficulties involved, but also because you can`t take the Eifel weather to Vegas

4 seasons in one lap,wet spots in shadow corners etc...that`s what the Ring is known for

Yeah, we all would love this, I don't find it likely to happen either.

There are so many construction projects in Vegas at the moment that are either on hold, or are intentionally moving at a snails pace due to a lack of $$$. The majority of the big casino hotels have either just filed bankruptcy or in the process of filing.

Also, have you guys ever raced on a track in Nevada. The climate doesn't exactly make it a pleasant experience.
