Trip to the Rolex 24

Looks like a great trip!!! I assume that your choice of word "assume" meant "awesome", and if so, what were your thoughts of the 991 on the track?

Yes assume is awesome dont know on what planet I was when I wrote that, I want to edit it, but I dont seem to be able. The 991 was incredible complete raw power and excellent stability. The car was great in cornering as in drifting, but felt like it was comfortable enough for long joy rides. The car seemed to be able to adapt it self to any ty[e of driving. It was my first ride in a porsche and hope there will be other opportunities.

^^^ yeah, only about 10 mins for ninja edits, unless someone quotes you, then it's permanent, well, permanent in the quote anyway. LOL.
991 sounds like it was a thrill. Your FIRST time in a Porsche, and it's a 911 on the racetrack? That's cool. What a great memory.
I'm going to the 991 unveil here in town next week. I'm really looking forward to seeing it in person.

Nice pics, thanks for sharing.
Curious if you took a moment to stand near the grandstand fence along the front stretch? My dad and I did as we were leaving Saturday night, and one thing really caught my attention...
All of the Ferrari 458s were silent (except for wind noise) as they were speeding past us at 150+ mph. There's no way they were letting off the throttle exiting turn 4 while every other car was going all out, so we were obviously missing something about that car's engine characteristics at high speeds. Thought it was amazing (and maybe a little disappointing at the same time) to not hear them. Did you notice this as well?
