well that's not exactly a fair comparison. vettel got his gearbox problem within the first part of the race, where the gap between 1st and 2nd driver are well under a few seconds. senna was stuck in 6th gear with only couple laps to go, by then the gap between 1st and 2nd could had been huge. could be well above 10-16 seconds as mark webber proved it in this grand prix.

100% my thoughts. That's why he wasn't excited and didn't seem to care about the win. Good on them for doing it to give him one as he was a good team player all season but this win was scripted by the red bull brass and I'm fine with it.

Hi,
When I was younger, my father taught me how to play basketball. He even coached me up until I started getting into district teams. He'd always beat me at one on one when I was quite young, but every now and then, he let me win. I knew it sometimes, but it still felt good.
Years on we still liked to go down to the half court and play HORSE or similar, I was playing state by this stage and his ankles had given out, but through a respect for his passion and the fact he'd taught me everything I needed to know to go further in the sport, I always let the old man get a couple of games on me.
I knew when I was younger, and he knew when I was older.
I could be wrong, but this is how I like to think of the situation. Webber is a man amongst men and no matter how much of a little prat Sebastian is, I bet he still has respect for the old man.
Cheers,
Nik

Maybe its just me but the fact that Vettel had a gearbox problem and was still able to hold 2nd place seems a little fishy. Especially since he did a fastest lap like that as well. Is it possible they let Webber get his win and pretended to have a gearbox problem? If say Alonso and Button had wrecked and were out of the race, that would have put Webber in 2nd for the championship without hurting Vettel's standings. He didn't seem that pumped when he was on the podium for winning the race.
Not trying to take anything away from Webber...just thinking...
EDIT: annnnnnnd apparently I dont read well and this has already been covered
