^ Ha Ha! Great to have you chime in Alex.
Meeting Alex is always a highlight of our trip. His group of guys is so great and they really know how to have a good time.
Alex knows tons more about how to make the trip a hit than me. I am a family man and kind of have to do things more traditionally. But Alex's idea of renting a house makes a lot of sense.
Man, it is going to be great again!
Everyone stay safe for the next 8 months!!

Ahhh, so looking forward to June, 2012 already!
For the first timers looking to cut down on expenses, I suggest getting together with a group and renting a house. You can really cut down your expenses say if it's CDN $2000 for the weekend split 5-6 ways. We've been doing that for 10 years now and probably wouldn't stay in a hotel in Mtl for the GP again. For next year, a bud from New Hampshire is bringing a whole leg of lamb and we're ordering steaks to feed the 7 of us for the entire weekend, putting the grill on the roof top deck at our place to good use.
I highly recommend Gibby's and the Gibby's cut! If there is a planned meet, I will do my best to make it.
Sure hope Ced doesn't find me next year.

Alex and Josh, it sounds like you guys are the ones that know how to get out and have a good time after spending all day at the track, so I'm definitely going out with you guys at least one night. I'm ready to make it an epic trip (so long as I can make it to the track the next morning and feel good enough to enjoy the race).

I regretted not being able to go this year, but next year I have to go. Once I get near a computer I will start planning some options.
Would be great to meet some fellow TSer's while there...thanks for posting this Dana.
