Five NASCAR Drivers Snub White House Invite
Text by Dana Larkin
Of the eleven Chase drivers from 2010 invited to a White House ceremony in their honor, nearly half will not attend.
NASCAR announced yesterday that five drivers - Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick, and Tony Stewart - have bowed out of next Wednesday's event due to "scheduling conflicts."
2010 Nationwide champ Jimmie Johnson will be in attendance along with Denny Hamlin, Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, Clint Boyer, Jeff Burton and Matt Kenseth.
