1997 World Champ Villeneuve Says Kimi Didn't Deserve 2007 Title

Jacques Villeneuve Says Raikkonen Title Undeserved

In an interview with the Brazillian website TotalRace, 1997 F1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve said that Kimi Raikkonen's 2007 title was lucky and undeserved.

In 2007 Raikkonen miraculously overcame a 17-point deficit in the final two races to nip Lewis Hamilton by a single point. Some assessed this as Hamilton losing the Championship rather than Raikkonen winning it.

"If Kimi won the championship, he did it by luck, because he didn't deserve it," Villeneuve said. "Felipe deserved it a lot more. He was always more capable than Kimi and it was easy to beat him."

At the same time Villeneuve came to Massa's defense against naysayers who have complained about his 2011 performance.

"He [Massa] has won races and almost a championship, maybe two. He's a great driver. Right now he is driving strongly for Ferrari. I don't get people who criticise him."

Villeneuve is one of the poorest sports in F1 EVER. His manager, Craig Pollock, was an uber-douche, too. Very little that comes out of Jacques Villeneuve's filthy French-Canadian mouth is worth anything...

Lucky or not, Kimi won the title and that's that.

Just because luck played a part in him winning, doesn't mean he didn't deserve it!

So what? Luck (and having the best car by a country mile) played a big role in Villeneuve's championship as well.

Villeneuve is a bitter fool.
