This would suck. The BBC has the best F1 coverage. No commercials, great interviews and Coulthard + Jordan + Brundle = win and Humphrey does a great job too.

 

I'd be pissed if the BBC dropped it. Best coverage bar none.

 

I thought I read this week that BBC's coverage was at record viewership???
Something close to 10mil people in the last few races.

 

Yeah it doesn't surprise me. Hard to justify as a tax payer, when ITV will provide this programming for free.

 

Time to put 'The Manor' back on the market.

Bernie Ecclestone is talking a lot lately, maybe too much.

 

It's all rumours - don't worry, nothing decided.

Check @jakehumphreyf1 for example on Twitter. He's the presenter and says he's heard absolutely nothing.

No-one in the world would want ITV to get F1 back. They had awful commentary and adverts 2 or 3 times during the race!

The BBC is funded by the TV license over here, which makes it pretty unique. So it doesn't get more revenue for more viewers, but equally, it's easy to justify the costs of showing F1 is more and more people are watching it. The taxpayer/license fee payer is getting good value for money.

Hope it does stay!!
