Haha great pics Dana, what a truly rollercoaster event...

And the green stuff is used for testing purposes during the free practice sessions by teams so the engineers can analyze certain aspects of airflow efficiency, downforce efficiency, etc. I'm not an expert on the technology to know any more than that, only what Steven Matchett has said about it during SPEED's coverage.
