Just to beat a dead horse, the ACO (the officials for the race) have ordered Kauffman not to participate for the rest of the race. That should be sufficient judgment as to who was at fault.
The idiot was then interviewed by Justin Bell of SPEED a couple of hours ago and claimed he saw the Audi's bright headlights and didn't move from his racing line. He hardly took any responsibility for the accident. Apparently he thought it was okay to drive down the straight in the left lane, apex the slight kink, and not leave enough room in the right lane for the car going probably 30-50mph faster. We won't see ya next year Mr. Kauffman.
