Hamilton - Red Bull Will Needs KERS In Malaysia
#2
Ohhh shizit. You tell em! But seriously, I like the confidence. Instead of saying, oh shit they were fast at Melbourne and they didn't have kers, and now they will; what am I to do. He comes out on the offensive, saying. Yes, they will need it!

Funny that he mentioned RBR's front wing. That really did look like it was breaking some rules...
I'm curious to see how RBR will use KERS in Malaysia. By not using it at Melbourne, they lost some opportunity to test it further.

If they have to alter the aero package to accommodate the KERS system, they may lose more than they gain.

Sean, when you watched the race, did you catch the BBC interview with Horner when he said that Newey would not change the aero package to accommodate the KERS system??
Very informative.
SPEED never got the interview.....

Yeah I saw that. Newey knows what he's doing. If they can be quicker without KERS, why change it. He has some trick up his sleeve to be able to be quicker than last year without the DDD. Malaysia does have long straights so I think Lewis is right for the race trim.

But what if weight savings and optimum aero outweigh the Kers benefit? It would seem that if they are quicker around the bends that they will hedge that advantage along with using a good one move over-5take block against having full time system?
