I can understand what McLaren was trying to do but it doesn't seem like the best idea to start with from where I'm sitting. Keeping all of that heat right next to the engine, gearbox, and electronics doesn't seem like the most efficient way of keeping things cool...

I thought McLaren was going to try running a setup similar to the forward facing exhaust that Sauber (iirc) was planning on using.
