Barrister do you think it will be ready by 2012? I really hope this does not fall flat on its face, never got the chance to go to Indy to see them race there, but I feel like this would be a lot better to have a purpose built F1 track and not some conversion track.

My buddies dad works for monster who's sponsoring mercedes petronas this year, hes still planning to take us so I assume everything is on schedule hopefully.

I think we might get sponsor credentials which we be a great way to see the race from behind the scenes

Hopefully the Texas track can be driven after Formula 1 Season like BIC(Bahrain Int'l Circuit), that would be cool for trackday groups, bikes etc.

Yay that Australia is the first race again! As for the USGP, it will be ready, they are on schedule, if not a little ahead of schedule as of right now.

I cant see them not using it for other major events, the F1 race will really be a great way to showcase the use-ability of the track for other major events, and I'm sure track-days will happen there

Yeah lol, I grew up loving D.C. its not like he was the best or anything, but he seemed to be the gentlemen's driver, and always love Mika, and Kimi Räikkönen when he first started out, still think Lewis is a superb driver also, my dad still checks all the races online every weekend, and still calls every sunday to tell me who won, we qualified where.

I just remember when it was mika and michael really battling it out, and williams was there, and up and coming with ralf schu. There was eddie irvine with jag. And I always hated Montoya, most likely because my dad said he said he was dirty columbian drug dealer when i was a kid

Incredibly smart move by Bernie leaving it up to the Government to call it off. No race and he still collects the race fee!
