...On a search for the perfect driving road...
So I am located currently in New London, CT area and I am searching for the perfect driving road...the best I can come up with is HW 214 from 12 to Foxwoods Casino....anyone with a passion for cars and driving excitement should tour this road if you are in the area...it is about 7 miles of tight corners, dips, and good straights...if you are in the area I urge you to drive it...but back to my question does anyone know of any better driving in the area..

I posted this a while ago when I was making my road trip from MN to WA and this road was BY FAR the most fun I've ever had in a car. It's about 115 miles of twisty asphalt between Red Lodge, MT and Mammoth, WY. It's better than just a road though. It snakes through the Beartooth Mountain range down to Yellowstone National Park so the views are absolutely breathtaking.

Here's a little snippit of the road just south of Red Lodge:
And some of the views I'd mentioned:
If you're going to attempt to drive this route though, makes sure you get there in the early morning. I hit it right at sunrise and there was literally the only car I saw on that road for the entire length (aside from Park Ranger and maintenance vehicles). Having that much road to yourself with a sports car and those curves is about as close to heavenly as you can get. On the downside, once I left Yellowstone in the early afternoon, the road leaving Mammoth was very heavily congested by RVs, camper vans, and all number of vehicles that just don't belong on roads like this.
