2011 Canada F1 GP roll call & meet-up thread

Since the race is about 6 months away, I figured I'd kick off a thread to see who's going to the race or who will be in Montreal the weekend of June 11th and would be interested in meeting up.

Feel free to use this thread to post pics and stories from previous Canada GPs as well as suggestions on what to do, what to see, where to eat, etc while in Montreal.

Please at your name to the list if you'll be attending the race (and where you'll be sitting).

1) Alzilla (grandstand 11, section 6)

Probably not at the race. Still in the general vicinity.

I think I will put together a basic info thread about where to buy tickets, stay, etc.

Should be up by the weekend.

I'm still waiting on my Leave approval, barring that I'll be there!

2011 Canadien GP travel directory

Post your suggestions for accomondations, tickets, any previous experience with nightlife or dinners. Basically anything that will be beneficial to attendees of this years race. Veterans certainly chime in with your omnipotence. What's the good spot to be and what day. Yada yada...

I'm still not crazy about the idea of receiving my tickets only a week in advance of the race.

Why so late? We usually order in late January and have them in our hands mid-April the latest.

There is so much to do GP weekend in Montreal. Crescent St, St. Catherine, Old Montreal and St. Laurent will all be crowded but good times abound if you like beautiful women, cars and F1.

I will be in GS 24 as always, not sure which section this year.
