I like it alot. It seems to have classic race car proportions after studying it for a while. One thing that does seem a little strange is how tall it appears from the front - almost like it would be aerodynamically inefficient.

Either way, I can't wait to see it bash the Peugeots on the track!

It just looks that way because they had to cover the wheels and driver somehow. Everything that isn't a wheel or a driver's head is damn near flat so it actually ought to be pretty good aerodynamically, I'd think.

Damn...this looks menacing with the headlights and raw carbon! I like the closed-cockpit. Proportions look pretty good. Hats off to Audi. Can't wait to see this in person at Petit Le Mans! I want Porsche to make a new prototype to compete with this.

haha oh I figured it would be efficient, very efficient. I saw the Audi crew after Petit Le Mans this year and man they looked down - no way they're going to let that happen again. But from the front the R18 does look kind of crazy - no doubt it's slicker than greased sh!t through a goose.

I expect 2011 will be a great battle in the LMP1 category. Should be a great year for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in GT and LMP, actually.

Like Al said, this car is strangely beautiful. I believe that it looks great. Now after all the initial WOW it brings to see such a great machine... I only have one thing in my mind. What will Peugeot will bring for the new year?

Last year they were really fast but the long term reliability and a little bit of overdriving the car also by the drivers made them fail. But I expect or basically I hope Peugeot will jab back in the media soon with there new car for 2011.

As much as I respect and appreciate team Audi's perseverance for total domination in there category... I do not want them to go uncontested , if they are going to win or whomever it may be I want to see a fight. But one thing is for sure, Audi is not making it easy.

My hat is off to Audi
Peugeot has already revealed their 2011 car. It's a small evolution of their 2010 car in comparison to the big swing that Audi took.

Well said.. that would be great, but diesels are not there forte... atleast not right now. But I also find it difficult they would contest in the same category with their company brother Audi. Aston Martin has another great gas prototype, I hope they do better this year.
