Ferrari 458 GT2 in ALMS in 2011?
I've been reading about the 458 GT2 and wanted to know - will it be actively competing in the GT category of the American Le Mans Series for 2011 season? I just sort of assumed that Risi Competitizione or Patron would be picking up a pair of them for next year but had yet to hear anything about it.
Can anyone confirm? Also, here's a link to the 458 GT2 in case nobody saw it yet.

Haha, I saw it on Axis of Oversteer yesterday but didn't think about it until today. I can't find any sign that an ALMS team will pick up customer car versions of this beast.
I hope not because I'm a BMW RLR fan -but part of me would love to see this thing run around Sebring and Road Atlanta.

That's what I thought. I was standing in the BMW pits when everyone found out the Ferrari ran out of the fuel right before turn 10. The entire place went from depressed to absolutely ecstatic. I'm hoping with the Risi 458 that the fight for GT gets down to the wire like it did this season. Great racing this past year.

I really hope they pick up really fast with the new car and go back to wining races fast.
I must admit that the last race left me in shock for what happened in the end, I was pissed yet I ended up laughing, there was nothing else to do.
Did anyone got fired for the fuel incident, someone took to literally the just a splash of fuel technique.
