Valentino Rossi has wanted to drive F1 cars for a few years now, regularly testing for Ferrari and tipped to drive a third car, if F1 regulation ever gave them the chance to run a 3rd car, that is.

Now, it looks like Ducati is teaming up with AMG ... could this mean Rossi will replace Schumi after 2012? He's always been fast, and both their contracts are up at the same time.

I don't see that happening. If, and that's a big if, he comes to F1 it'll be with Ferrari.

 

I seem to remember hearing that about Schumi not too long ago.

 

I have a feeling Mercedes will do their best to try to get Vettel after Schumi leaves.

 

I'm going to have to agree. Seems like Mercedes is trying to be as German as possible

 

Vettel would be insane to leave Newey.

 

Good call, I think you will see Schumi give it another try next year, but if his results are still mediocre he will just quit and they will make a play for Vettel in 2012

 

Rossi is signed onto Scuderia Ferrari as a test driver.

 

There are rumors that Mr. Schumacher will perform VERY well next year. We'll see.
