Severe Backlash For Ferrari & Alonso....

I think they could have put on a better show so the fans didn't feel robbed but F1 is a big mean nasty business and I believe team orders are part of that.

Montezemolo: Our drivers race for the team
27 July 2010
Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo is showing no regrets in the team's decision to let Fernando Alonso pass Felipe Massa for the race win at Hockenheim on Sunday. The Italian has said that any driver racing at Ferari is very well aware of the fact that the interest of the team comes before those of the driver itself.
The Ferrari team was fined $ 100,000.- for handing out team orders at last weekend's German Grand Prix. Ferrari team president Luca di Montezemolo does not regret his team's decision at Hockenheim and said: “The polemics are of no interest to me. I simply reaffirm what I have always maintained, which is that our drivers are very well aware, and it is something they have to stick to, that if one races for Ferrari, then the interests of the team come before those of the individual. In any case, these things have happened since the days of Nuvolari and I experienced it myself when I was Sporting Director, in the days of Niki Lauda and not just then…
“Therefore enough of this hypocrisy, even if I can well believe that some people might well have liked to see our two drivers eliminate one another, but that is definitely not the case for me or for our fans.”
Well, for the team I can say yes it is.. but for the drivers it is not fair.
I am not of a fan of Massa or the Ferrari team, but I really feel it is not fair for him.

why nobody said anything on this?: German GP 2008 Kovalainen let Hamilton
YouTube - Kovalainen dejó pasar a Hamilton en 2008 en el mismo punto que Massa dejó a Alonso.

McLaren decided not to pit Hamilton after a safety car. Everyone was bunched up after the botched pitstop and Hamilton came out in 5th right behind Kovalainen in 4th. Hamilton was on his tale the whole time, Hekki let's him by as he wasn't not putting the same lap times down as Hamilton! (Unlike Alonso, where Massa had faster laptimes!!).
Look at the results at the end of the race, Hekki in 5th place Hamilton in 1st!! You think McLaren told Hekki not to fight for more points? and stay in 5th? or not try to come 1st & 2nd?
Do you understand the difference yet? Hekki wasn't leading for 80% of the race then told to give Hamilton 1st! In fact Hekki never lead the race, Hamilton lead most of the way, then Pique due to heavy fueling from the start. After "passing" Hekki, Hamilton RACED 4 more cars to WIN the race get it?
the remaining 4 cars just didn't move over for him to win the race. Which is why most people were insulted, that Ferrari had the nerve to say no team orders after the whining baby cried to them on the radio I can't pass let me pass.
How many times did Hamilton pass Hekki in the '08 season? too many to count...hehehe Hekki wasn't competition for Hamilton like Massa is for Fernando.

I am a huge motorsports fan. I was in Indy for the F1 when Michael passed Ruebens just before the flag dropped after a caution and no one said a thing. F1 and Nascar both are guilty of bs claiming to make their events "better for the fans". As with virtually any business, money talks. Those with the gold, make the rules in racing.

Tell the spanish "media" (youtubers) to try harder cutting & pasting a video clip of a random chat to the cars as if Hekki was told to let him pass! even if they did the situation wasn't the same HEKKI WAS SLOWER!! Massa WASN'T! he was LEADING the race for crying sake!
