Hamilton Happy With Result In Malaysia

All fanboy feelings aside, he really did have an impressive drive.

He drove one hell of a race, credit to Sutil that he wasn't intimidated by Lewis

He should be happy. He did great ;o)

Sutil impressed the hell out of me. He did not get anything for free, he just did a really good job this weekend.

Excellent and inspired drive until he got behind Sutil! Not bad considering the position he started from.

I expected more from Hamilton, Sutil is a good driver in a good car, but he should have been able to inch ahead.

I think his tires were done at that point. He had been driving very aggresively up till that point.

+1. His tires were cooked and the McLarens do much worse in dirty air. I was hoping he'd get by Sutil too, but it just wasn't going to happen at that point.

Hamilton really did drive a fantastic race from start to finish and could've probably ended up on the podium if it had not been for the mistakes in qualifying but he ought to be very proud of himself for what he accomplished this weekend.

^^ he should have been able to get by bc he had a real late pit, so he had fresh tires whereas sutil's were not. Credit to sutil, but he was more driving defensively than driving well. He did an excellent job holding off Hamilton, but he didn't make any progress himself.

You're right but I think the dirty air played a bigger part in Hamilton not being able to pass. You could see him coming out of the corners much slower than Sutil just because of the understeer when he got too close (that is what happened to Webber last weekend as well) but it seems the Mclaren is much worse than other cars when it comes to dealing with the air from those double defusers.
