Nascar meets F1

Guitar-playing fellow simulates Formula One sound - Top Speed

I hope the Nascar slam doesn't offend anyone

There’s something to be said about talent that people just can’t learn. It’s innate to a person, and when you’re lucky enough to possess a unique talent, you try to harness it and improve on it as much as you can.

This particular dude has a pretty unique talent. First of all, it’s not his guitar-playing we’re talking about, although we have to admit, he can handle a Gibson X-Plorer just about as good as anyone we’ve seen and heard in quite some time.

His unique talent is that he can use his electric guitar and simulate the sound of the Fernando Alonso-driven Ferrari F10 Formula One car from the engine-roaring acceleration down to the braking and gear-shifting. To illustrate exactly how precise his music is, he even has a video of the racing sequence in which Alonso’s car is completely in sync with the sounds of the Gibson X-Plorer.

Check it out and be amazed.

I have never tried playing guitar, but wouldn't this be easier to play then actual music?

Just wondering.

Very clever, although the gear changes are a little on the slow side, more like a McLaren

I'm surprised his guitar didn't blow up before the end of the lap, just saying.
