Arrow CondorCGT Learning the Japanese way of Drifting

These are two videos taken during my driting course in Japan during my visit in 2009. The videos show me trying to drift my car as close as I can to the car infront. This is my first attempt at Drifting the Japanese way. I still have a long way to go but I thought I would share some of the footage with you all. My instructors were NOBUSHIGE KUMAKUBO and NAOTO SUENAGA
. I have to say I was honored that I received instructions from both

did you find drifting was helpful, and could you apply it to the real world racing ? or was it just for fun?

Drifting is a sport on its own. wouldnt fit anywhere in "real world racing".
I'd love to learn the skill though... car control.

It was fun and what helps I was behind a Pro and I was not afraid that he would spin into me but there were few moments that we did get that close

Not this type of drifting but it does help you feel at ease with yourself when the car is sliding in wet or slippery conditions. I have taken driving courses on snow in a rally car that helps as well. You can see in motorsport drivers are fast in rain and those drivers nearly are sliding everywhere on the track. I personally think you have to drive the car to the limit to find out how far you can push your car in wet or dry and drifting is one of the ways to do it. I drift for fun and I would love to compete in events as well. Checkout the videos below thats me in my Starion and Nissan S15.
