When a dickhead is not a dickhead

The Melbourne Age newspaper today:
(Check out the link for the video)

Dickhead (coarse colloq) a stupid or obnoxious person, especially a man; an idiot.
(Australian Oxford Dictionary)

Tim Pallas has added a new portfolio to his Victorian roads, ports and major projects ministry - dickheads.

But when is a dickhead not a dickhead?

On morning radio, Mr Pallas was willing to use the word to describe motor ace Lewis Hamilton: ''OK, I'll say it. He's a dickhead.''

But by the afternoon, in front of television cameras, he had turned coy.

Journalist: ''Is Mark Webber a dickhead?''

Pallas: ''My view about any particular race driver and their personal qualities I don't think is really the key … anybody who takes action to undermine the road safety message is doing the wrong thing.''

Journalist: ''Is Lewis Hamilton a dickhead?''

Pallas: ''From my perspective he has acted inappropriately.''

Journalist: ''Do you have the courage to back this campaign by actually telling them they're dickheads?''

Pallas: ''It's more important that we reinforce the message here.''

Journalist: ''So he was a dickhead this morning but he's no longer a dickhead now?''

Pallas: ''The pejorative language suited then and it suits now.''

Hang on, didn't he just call Mr Hamilton a dickhead?

everybody knows I hate Lewis, but c'mon all of this over a burnout and I'm sorry I can't see the big safety hazard of doing a burnout. The Aussie's making all this hoopla are dickheads IMO

Yeah, i can't remember F1 making headlines here in Sydney across all stations on the night before the race.

"hooning" is a really big deal here at the moment.

Last weekend a guy in stolen car being chased by police ran a red light and killed a family (and himself). It's a hot topic at the moment.

That is a pretty big, this has always scared me the most about driving. On another note I got caught by cops doing a burnout, they gave me fair warning and told me to enjoy my movie. My ex was pissed as hell as she just told me not to do it I hate it when they are right.

Until they are your ex, they are always right.
