I wonder if this is just a sign of whats to come?
Mclaren are better suited to Albert Park in recent history don't read too much into it plus Ferrari will mop the floor with them in Sepang

But in the last 10 years Ferrari has won 5 times at Albert Park (2000-2002, 2004 and 2007) , while McLaren has only won three times (2003, 2008 and 2010).

Uh oh, I feel a statistic-athon coming....

Here's one for poor old Kimi:

In his 5 years at McLaren technical failures accounted for 38% of his DNFs

Button is the luckiest Mother F*&%ker on earth the decision to switch to slicks was at the perfect time
+1 my man.

The way Freddie weaved his way through was pretty damn impressive. He really made Massa look like a lower division driver with how smooth he was cutting his way through traffic. Alonso has settled in quickly with Ferrari and that is the best thing that could happen for he and Ferrari.

Jenson made the ultimate gamble. One lap earlier and he could've had egg on his face. A few laps later and he would probably have finished 10th.

Massa was a beast off the line. No doubt.

He got off the line like a bat out of hell. Had he fared the same as Freddie in turn 1, he certainly wouldn't have been able to cut through like Freddie did.

He is probably the weakest driver in the top 4 teams, right there with Jenson.

IMO (and this is tough to say) Only Alonso, Hamilton and Vettel are WDC material. I hope Massa proves me wrong because he's got character and a true gentlemen. Plus if Fellipe is on he's unstoppable.

Dana since 2005 when Brawn left Ferrari, this has been the best result at Melbourne and in the past 5 years the McMercs were always faster at Albert Park
