The 2010 TS Formula 1 Fantasy League Discussion Thread

I've always loved the pony. And I am a Schumi fan (despite his stunt during Q3 at Monaco in 2006). So it pains me to not be picking either in this League based on the philosophy that The Barrister has shared with you. But I see the game as just that: a game. And games are for winning, right?!! Ha. I had a lot of fun at this last year, especially when I picked both Brawn drivers at the 11th hour before the lights went out in Sydney. On a side thought, does anyone think Alonso will try and exact revenge on Schumi this season somehow?
exactly its a game don't be partial based on who you support or else you'll fail miserably.
I'd be thinking its Michael who'd want revenge on Alonso seeing as how he won in 05 and 06 his last two years before he "retired". either way there are too many contenders this season for it to be even slightly predictable.
And that's what makes this season special

For the last 3 seasons Alonso has been the only guy on the grid to beat Michael to a WDC. Now that Michael's back he must be concerned that someone else may achieve the same status.
So I think Fernando has more to lose than anyone else, that's why he'll be on fire!

They don't want to sit outside in the 100+ degree heat watching F1.
Then there is the gambling issue. The same reason there are no pro sports teams in the Vegas Valley.

its not much cooler round here, but I'll take your word for it.

^^^Exactly. A Las Vegas street race has the potential to be almost as cool as the Monaco GP, except the terrain is pretty bland and the whole track would just be a bunch of 90* turns.

I'm going to make a prediction for how the season will pan out in terms of who will win the WDC and WCC. We'll see how right I am by the end of the season.
For WCC, I see it going down like this:
1. Scuderia Ferrari Malboro
2. Vodafone McLaren Mercedes
3. Red Bull Racing
4. Mercedes GP Petronas
5. AT&T Williams
6. Renault F1
7. BMW Sauber F1
8. Lotus F1
9. Virgin Racing
10. Force India F1
11. Scuderia Toro Rosso
12. Campos Meta 1
For WDC, I'll only pick the top 10 finishers here...
1. Fernando Alonso
2. Lewis Hamilton
3. Felipe Massa
4. Jenson Button
5. Sebastian Vettel
6. Michael Schumacher
7. Mark Webber
8. Rubens Barrichello
9. Robert Kubica
10. Nico Hulkenberg
