They can't sign him because he doesn't have enough seat time in a current F1 car and he hasn't competed in any open wheeled car racing series. Therefore, he can't get his super license. It's really unfortunate.

That's just it though. He hasn't had anything to prove since winning the title in '04 after switching from Honda to Yamaha. He just really loves racing bikes more than anything else at the moment.
