Fernando Alonso has appeared in Ferrari’s iconic red colours for the first time, on the opening day of the team’s traditional winter ski event in Madonna di Campiglio.
Having officially joined the Scuderia on January 1 from long-time home Renault, the double world champion made his first appearance in red alongside 2010 team-mate Felipe Massa and Ferrari's third driver and his former team-mate Giancarlo Fisichella on Monday.
Arriving at the Italian ski resort by helicopter, Alonso posed for pictures in his Ferrari team uniform – which featured branding for new Spanish sponsor Santander for the first time – with the Spaniard to hit the slopes alongside his fellow drivers from tomorrow.
Team principal Stefano Domenicali will arrive on Tuesday, with the team to stay in the region until Saturday.
The Wroom media event, which is held in a village in the Northern Italian region of Trentino, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
