Racing in L.V. this weekend

Here's a bad shot from my phone.
Finished our 2 hour practice. We're a little off the pace but they didn't balast the karts. We're probably one of the heavier teams so we should hopefully pull some time back tomorrow. They have entries from about 4-5 countries for this race. First time running under the lights but it was cool and I was fortunate enough to have fast time for our team and probably about 5th fastest overall. There's 19 teams and about 100 drivers. Tomorrow should be fun.

We qualified 11th and finished 11th.
Tanner Faust was also in our race and was quite fast along with a few other celebrity drivers in the Pro category. Those guys that race all year were just too fast for us. On average they were about a second faster per lap. Over 500 laps that second or so really adds up. We had a great time and the race went pretty quickly. We started qualifying at 7:30 pm and started the race at 9:00 pm. The race concluded at 4:45 am. The other teams had crew tracking driver changes, strategy, communications. We had ourselves and a flashlight. Oh well, until next year.

Schumi, Buemi & Piquet Jr. raced in the Super Pro Shifter class. There was rumor that Schumi would take a stint in our class but didn't end up racing with us. There were some top drivers from ALMS and other Pro categories racing with us. Definitely a lot of pushing and shoving but about 8 hours of good hard racing. More details after I get more sleep.
